Dr Michael Coupe

​Interests: Interventional pain medicine; treatment of back pain, neck pain, sciatica; neuropathic pain; opioids in persistent pain; pain education

 

Following specialist training in London and Bristol, Dr Coupe has been a consultant in pain medicine since 2004. He is an honorary lecturer at the University of Bristol, and is a Fellow of the Faculty of Pain Medicine and a Fellow of the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine, both within the Royal College of Anaesthetists. He has a special interest in interventional treatments of pain conditions, the psychological impact of persistent pain and drug therapies for persistent pain. 

Dr Andrew Souter FRCA FFPMRCA

Consultant in Pain Medicine    

 

​Interests: Interventional pain medicine; treatment of back pain, neck pain, sciatica; neuropathic pain; drugs in persistent pain; persistent facial pain

Qualifying from Edinburgh University and following specialist training in Oxford UK and UT Southwestern Dallas Texas, Dr Souter has been working as a consultant in Bath for over 21 years. He has a special interest in interventional treatments for pain conditions, the psychological impact of persistent pain and drug therapies for persistent pain. 

 

Previously he has been lead clinician for anaesthesia and preoperative assessment and is currently the lead clinician for the pain clinic at the RUH in Bath.
